In 1898 the US gained the "rich port"

Arrived in the Puerto Rican capital city of San Juan late afternoon. This is certainly a city rich in life, streets are full of restaurants and live music.  The evening was spent drinking coffee at a waterfront cafe, meeting new people and watching the locals settle in front of a live band with family and friends. In the morning it was decided I should get some culture so a visit to the Fort of San Cristobal was in order. The largest fort ever built by the Spanish in the New World, Castillo San Cristóbal was completed in 1785.  I tried to hide in the dungeons but they found me in a nearby street!
